It’s been relatively quiet with Kate news these past couple of months. Finally yesterday after not having many news of this stunning British beauty, she has made an appearance. She attended the Mont-Blanc Cocktail Party which is always hosted the night before the Oscars. Kate looks gorgeous in her white dress. Photos from the event have been added to the gallery.

Kate Beckinsale has confirmed that she is reprising her role as death dealer vampire, Selene. After her unforgettable roles in Underworld and Underworld Evolution she opted out of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and only granted a voice over and past footage for that movie. But Underworld 4- which beigns shooting in March and is said to be released in January 2012 is said to hold a surprise element event though the script is said not to have been completed at this time. Selene is to be a mother…

After scenes in the second installment of the Underworld Series, Underworld: Evolution, it was only logical that the vampire and vampire/lycan hybrid breed and create a vampire/lycan hybrid daughter. It was hinted at near the end of the movie but rumors are aboud that she will be a mother and pass torch to her daughter or daughters as some websites have reported.

There is no confirmation as to how big of a role that she will play or if the mother role is correct but it would carry on the story.
